Great, but wirh a few quirks.

Let me start this review by saying that I would consider myself a decently tech savvy person, so when looking for a portable projecfor to buy, the XGIMI Halo + was up against the Samsung Freestyle 2. I initially purchased the freestyle but it fell short of my expectations. So, I traded it for the Halo +. Here’s all my PROS and CONS. PROS: - Decently bright for the price point - Auto Keystone and option for manual zoom - Tripod mount on the bottom - Compact and well built - Multiple ports including a HDMI, Audio, and USB port - Pause/Play and Volume Up/Down buttons on the top - Can detect movement and will automatically keystone and focus - Internal battery - Remote interface is simple and has the ability to toggle focus adjustments by flipping a switch on the remote and using the volume Up/Down buttons. - When on sale, price was $650 (Black Friday 2023) - Speaker is pretty good for being internal CONS: - You CANNOT turn it on via the remote if you shut the unit down completely, only if you “hibernate” it. - When turning it on after a complete power down, you have to manually press the button on the unit. NOT TUE REMOTE, AS MENTIONED ABOVE. - Auto keystone is mostly accurate, but i’ve found I have to also manually tweak it after. (not a big deal, just annoying if you move it) - NO COMPATIBILITY WITH NETFLIX (this is odd, but there was an included pamphlet included which I presume allows you to watch it. - Remote is often slightly laggy and I sometimes have issues with it not working. - I personally find the android TV under interface to be inferior to something like Samsungs Tizen OS, or something like a ROKU. The home screen just looks busy in my opinion. CONCLUSION: Overall this projector exceeded the Samsung Freedtyle 2 in many ways. I have my Halo + mounted on a tripod I found at Best Buy on clearance. This allows me to stand it in a corner and I can have it lifted higher. This helps avoid it having to keystone the Up/Down angles from pointing it at a lower point. The device does a good job at focusing on most of the projected area. If you’re pointing it and an angle and not directly at a wall/screen, the far side tends to be a tad blurry. I would assume this is normal so I don’t deduct any points for this. Overall I would say this is a great buy if you’re wanting to step into the world or projectors and still get a decent all-in-one device. Coming from someone who had no experience in these type of devices, it was easy to setup and use. Included are 2 pictures. One is the projector in a slight lit area, and the second is in a dark bedroom. Obviously the brightness is best in a dark setting but i’ve found it can actually show a decently bright image with some light.

    great Projector

The product arrived on time, Image quality is really good and the sound quality is great for this size projector. prior purchase, I compared nebula capsule 3 and Samsung freestyle, with halo+ which is much brighter at similar prices. I can download desktop manager from plays tore where you can find Netflix and useful apps like apple mirror (no Ads, what a nice surprise). I can't believe that Halo+ use Harman Kardon speakers, WOW!!! It feels Amazing to watch movies. And, it has intelligent obstacle avoidance and auto keystone correction, very easy to setting up. I use the HDMI input play PS5 with my wife and kids, The game running very smooth and no lag. Highly recommended this projector, high-quality, high-tech, worth to have it.

Exactly what we hoped it'd be, and more.

I knew this projector would be great but the picture was definitely better than I'd expected. We haven't tried the 3D yet but we did buy some glasses! People rave about the speakers on this one. They were slightly less awesome than I'd hoped but I wasn't sure what to expect since I didn't have anything to compare it to. They definitely aren't the worst speakers and I'm guessing they're awesome for projector speakers. We have a Bluetooth speaker that works great. That and a 120" screen in full HD we are LOVING our movie nights!!!!!! Oh and the auto and manual screen adjustments are awesome. Much better and easier than we expected. Also love that it has so many apps without using our fire stick!
